Save Oleg Sentsov!

Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov sentenced to 20 years in Russian prison and seen as a political prisoner by Memorial organization, holds an infinite hunger strike demanding to free all Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia. People who know him are sure that he will stand to the end.

We demand that Sentsov be sent to his motherland Ukraine. The death of Oleg Sentsov would be a disgrace to Russia and forever stain those who could have saved him, but did not.

We appeal to the participants of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum to support our statement.

Members of St Peterburg PEN and Russian Free Historical Society joined the Free Word Association statement. Alltogether, more than 130 art and science people including Nobel Prize winner Svetlana Aleksievich, journalists Sergeui Parkhomenko and Zoya Svetova, renowned writers Vladimir Voinovich, Ludmila Ulitskaya, Viktor Shenderovich and Alexander Arkhangelsky, signed the statement.
